Prepare your floor.
Here's a simplified checklist for ensuring you're ready to transform your floor:
- If a new construction , make sure floor is clean and have no cement debris
- Check your floor for moisture; try to cure the source
- Make sure your subfloor is flat and level
- Fill any holes or warp
- Clean your floor of all dirt and debris
- If moisture retains use a plastic sheet.

- Cover any expansion spaces around your new floor with a skirting or quarter round molding
- Install transition moulding & profiles as needed
